Yes, it seems like forever sence i have passed this way. I have been so wrapped up with real life and digital scrapbooking, there seems to be no time for regular blog of words and thoughts anymore.
However i do love efx2 and decided to revive the old quills of thought and dust off the papers i created and write till heart be content... Hello and happy new year and best wishes to all. Not really sure what i am doing with this corner at the moment, somedays i simply want to delete, other days it feels nessesary.
However because I can't find sleep at the moment i am at it once again. wanted to change the last so this is what became available. just rambling thoughts of what use to be i guess. However i find that the experience is just not the same-it IS what it is, or more a less what it isn't. how wonderful it would be if i could fresh start my life as easy as creating a new page. just create a clean page and bring along what’s priority in my life and have a fresh start, well this is as close as it gets. Going into a new year with a new prospective on how i use my time and how i blog in general, i decided to take no prisioners. i cant make any rounds so i don’t expect any to be made. my love is deep and true for those who hold it and you know who you are, however this will simply become a place to write the words that i so desprately need to get out of my head and nothing more. my focus is on my life and after watching oprah yesterday i decided to get my focus and priority straight. p.s. Happy holidays and best wishes for the newy year to the world at large. ![]() Posted Tuesday, November 13, 2007 @ 6:13 AM
When a Rat runs the farm
By sharon Young Bishop 606 words The storm had passed and the sun was shining down in and around the barn yard. There was a dog in one corner of the yard, always barking loud and showing his teeth. "He does that to make people afraid of him, just ignor him" said the fox to the rabbit. "Oh I thought it was because he had gone mad", the pig laughed The hens were all clucking about who layed the biggest egg, when a gang of big furry cats paraded into the center of the barnyard. Everyone except the owl and the eagle, a few foxes and some wise old hens gathered around them with excitement and pleasure. The cats ran the barnyard because they kept the rats out. "See the biggest one in the middle, that's no cat, that's a rat", said the owl to the eagle as they compared wings while perched on the high fence. "See the biggest one in the middle, that's no cat, that's a rat", the red fox repeated to one of the fat old hens as they all leaned on the fence where the owl and eagle perched. "Yes, I have heard that said before, but no one really believes it, besides, it does the most, purrs the loudest, and licks us all clean the most, it helps with the chores the most, hell it even visits the sick and licks the wounds around here the most, so how could it be a rat, how could it be anything other than a cat?" one of the hen's clucked and strutted around in circles confused by the thought. "Yes everyone is hoodwinked by it, parading around like a cat by day, but some of us have seen it crawling around at night, and believe me when I tell you, it is a big fat rat, sneaking in and out of the barn yard, leaving stinkie little rat droppings on every door step, nibbling chesse and sucking sugar from the bags with tiny little holes." cued the owl. The hen was upset. "You mean I have been hiding my secret sugar and all my precious cheeses and it has the trust of the whole barnyard and the keys to all the back doors, just because it looks like a cat?" "Yes, because it swells up like a cat, most of you don't think it can slide under the door, and it really doesn't take much really, not where it can be noticed, it just takes bits and peices here and there, so no one is the wiser," the eagle spread his wings once again as he spoke. The hen was furious at this very thought, she marched to her den pulled out her bag of sugar marched to the center of the barnyard and poured the whole bag of sugar in the center. Then she marched back to her den and grabbed her block of cheese and slung it out in the center right on top of the pile of sugar. "What is the meaning of this?" one of the cats spoke with great surprise. "If you insist on giving all your trust and the keys to a big fat rat then what's the point in me hiding my sugar and cheese, or locking my door for that matter? From now on I will just give up the sugar and cheese openly, and leave my door open. There, you can have it," The hen said as she wobbled back to her den and sat down, purposely leaving the door open for all to see. ![]() |
